Dear ANLUS members:
It is indeed an honor to write to you again about ANLUS after it completion of its first anniversary. The organization is going to be registered soon with its first annual report. Till now we have been successful in establishing connection with the legal professionals from Nepal, law professors, leading human rights lawyers, law students from Nepal and Nepalese foreign nationals studying law in the US who are interested in the legal development in Nepal. We have received overwhelming response from everyone and from different states so far, thus establishing the ultimate need of ANLUS. We are still waiting for warm response from our colleagues in other states. In an attempt to initiate this collective move for the welfare of Nepalese Legal System and Nepalese Jurisprudence, we seek to involve as many associates as we can! As of now, we have had contacts from different interested persons from different states, about which we have been updating information in the ANLUS blog www.anlus.wordpress.org from time to time. Currently, we are developing our own website www.anlus.org for better performance, credibility and sustainability. Emails should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org . In the meantime, we request you all to provide ANLUS with your valuable articles and essays so that we can post them in the website under your profile. Likewise, please do not forget to send a short biography so that the users know about you, your profession and your spatiality areas. ANLUS is also developing ties with several Law Schools across United States. ANLUS will lobby for a full/partial need-based-scholarship for one deserving Nepalese Law Student every year in a JD or LLM or SJD course in law schools across US. If you think you can lobby in your Law School for a full/partial need-based-scholarship for one deserving Nepalese Law Student every year in a JD or LLM or SJD course, please let us know.
A membership fee is not being collected at this time. We shall collect the fees once we are fully operational. Thank you once again for your solidarity!
